Sons Connection 2019

A great night at the Club on Saturday 23rd November 2019 with Sons Connection performing live hits from the sixties, seventies and eighties.

Now I am not saying the people attending were of that era, but strangely enough ‘we’ all knew the words and the dance floor was full with many performing the dance routines used by the original acts.

We did have a competition where the prize was to win an original 6 string Stratocaster Air Guitar as we sang and danced along to ‘Hi Ho Silver Lining’.

It was a close thing with so many taking part, but to avoid this lady being overwhelmed with bookings and contract offers we must keep the name secret, so just like in Dad's Army: ‘Don’t tell them your name Norma’  [Ed: - Yes, Ian - very witty!!]]

(Sorry Mr Cowell, she’s under contract to SOWGC)

I am not saying that alcohol had touched her lips during the night but she nearly dropped the prized air guitar….

Back to the night;

It was attended by over 50 Members who were wined and dined with a well prepared 2 course meal, excellently served by the Catering Team. The delivery was of military precision and everyone was served in quick succession so many thanks to the Catering Team and Bar Staff who kept our vocal chords well oiled.

Future events will be posted around the Club House in the coming months so to avoid disappointment, please get your tickets early and come and join the fun of an excellently planned evening.

We would like to have feedback from the Members who attended so we can share the views with the Social Committee. Every event involves meticulous planning so your feedback is vital to help us plan future events designed to meet your expectations.
