Mixed Open 2016

20 pairs played in this year's inaugural Stanton Mixed Open - a Stableford Better-Ball format with a shot-gun start.

In spite of a disappointingly low entry, the competitors who did take part had a thoroughly enjoyable day, with the weather elements behaving themselves for once.

The combination of traditional exemplary organisation, the magnificent state of the course and the fine cuisine, ensured the day's success,

Rest assured, Stanton looks forward to seeing all the Visitors who supported this competition, at next year's event. Your assistance in spreading the word would be very much appreciated, so that the 46 available slots can be filled.

Clearly advantage of a somewhat depleted field was taken by the last-minute pairing of Stanton Club Manager Paul Keeling and veteran campaigner Bridgett Patrick, who breezed around their home course collecting 43 points on the way. Congratulations to both of them - it is understood Bridgett's other half Jim was quite delighted with the pickings!
