Lady Captain's Welcome 2018

Dear Ladies,

I am delighted to have been asked to be Lady Captain for 2018/19 and thank Irene, the Immediate Past Lady Captain, for asking me. I have been a Member since joining as a Junior, more years than I care to remember, and have seen many changes during that time, but am thrilled to see our Club thriving at a time when many golf clubs are struggling. I think this is due to our experienced, forward-thinking Management Team who are well supported by willing volunteers, and an excellent course which is kept in superb condition.

I have really enjoyed the past year working with Irene, and thank Judy Burgin for agreeing to be my Lady Vice Captain. I know we will work well together and have fun along the way!

I would like to welcome the new Lady Members who have joined recently and look forward to seeing you on the course and in the clubhouse. If you have any questions about competitions, please contact me. There is a varied social calendar planned for this year and hope that you will support these events.

I am excited to see that Stanton is hosting the NCLGA County Championship in May, and hope that many of you will take the opportunity to play in this event or support by helping in other ways.

I am looking forward to working with Kevin Walden, the new Club Captain. For our charity, we have chosen the Keyworth and District Community Concern. Kevin and several other members are very involved as volunteer drivers for this local charity, and I know the Ladies will give their usual generous support for this worthwhile cause which provides transport for many local residents, and relies on donations to keep going.

Finally, I hope you all have a successful season and play some great golf!

With best wishes,

Jane Harby
