SINGLES AND FOURSOMES

In the absence of special rules, singles matches and any other 2-ball matches have precedence over and are entitled to go through any other kind of match.

SINGLE PLAYERS

A single player has no standing and must give way to any other kind of match

PART ROUNDS

Any match playing a part round must give way to a match playing a full round

STARTING TEES

Matches starting at the I st and 10th must alternate with oncoming matches.

SLOW PLAY

If a match fails to keep its place on the course and loses more than one clear hole on the players in front, it should invite the match following to pass

LADIES DAY

Tuesday is Ladies Day. However adult members may play 9 holes prior to the Ladies competitions starting
(tees to be cleared by 08:30 in winter and 08:15 in summer).
Efforts will be made to 'release' a tee at least an hour earlier than in previous years.

SATURDAY PLAY

On Saturdays when there is no competition in progress, two, three and four-ball matches have equal standing.

Saturday, winter - all full playing adult members can play at any time except when there is a Pro's Comp. In that case the 1st tee is reserved from start of play until 10:00 for men playing in the competition and the 10th tee is reserved for any playing member not playing in the competition until 09:00

Saturday, summer - the present range of competitions will continue throughout the summer. Those currently previously defined as men's comps will remain so, as will the status of mixed comps. In pre-determined comps, there will be a 'reserved' period of 3 times in mid-morning when the starting sheets are displayed.

SUNDAY MORNING PLAY

Sundays - full playing adult members can play at any time on Sundays - but have been asked to respect the formats generally adopted for social play (starting from both tees prior to 09:00) and to abide by convention rules that only the Captain has courtesy on a Sunday morning. 2, 3 and 4 balls have equal standing on these mornings. Alternative Day Ladies competitions will continue to be scheduled for late morning

JUNIORS

Members and Visitors have priority over Juniors at all times (except competitions), both on the course and on the Practice Ground

Juniors without handicaps are not allowed to play on Club Competition days, nor after 16:30 on weekdays, unless accompanied by a full adult Member

JUNIOR COACHING.

This will commence in April on Mondays between 17:45 and 19:00, and on subsequent Mondays until the clocks revert to GMT.
No play is allowed between these times on holes 1 to 5 inclusive to ensure the safety of both the juniors and the instructors.
